Cousin Matt

Josh's cousin Matt from NY came to visit us. Matt is stationed in Harlingen, TX doing border patrol for six weeks. It was fun to see him and have him meet Timothy! He is so sweet and bought Timothy a present. Thank you cousin Matt for coming to visit us and for the awesome gift!

Family Portraits

We had some family portraits done by Ben Lamb. Ben is a fantastic photographer! Here is his information www.benlambphoto.com or benlambphoto@gmail.com. Here are some of our favorites.

Flash back 5 months ago to this picture when Timmy was still in my belly. The sticker says "hello my name is Timmy". The next picture is the same pose, but with Timmy :)

This is another flash back picture with a similar pose following.

The maternity pictures were taken by the talented Susan Kedroski.

5 months old!

Timothy turned 5 months on November 28th.
This was a big month for you! You had your first Halloween and first Thanksgiving. Last month you were really sick and had to go the hospital and this month you are teething. We know something is wrong when you aren't your happy smiley self. You dropped your night feeding and you sleep 11-12 hours straight. It is wonderful! Your naps have gotten shorter and you like being awake for an hour to an hour in a half before needing another nap. Whenever we are out people like to squish your cute chubby cheeks and they always comment on what a happy baby you are. You will smile at anyone. You have started to cuddle more and I love holding you with your arms around me and your head resting on my shoulder. You love when Mommy and Daddy sing to you and you "sing" along. People have also commented on your deep voice. I think you will be a singer like your Daddy. When I dance you get excited and try to dance too :) We are working on sitting up. Daddy put your exersaucer together, but your legs don't reach the floor yet. You are getting stronger. When we change your diaper you kick your legs so hard that it opens the box of wipes. You like to eat your shirt and put whatever you can in your mouth. When your mouth is hurting we give you a small bag of ice to suck on and you love it. You found your toes, but haven't tried sucking on them yet. We decorated for Christmas, but you don't seem all that interested in the tree or lights like I thought you would be. If I put you up to the tree you do try to grab it. You out grew all your clothes so I had to get the bin with the next size up of clothes from Auntie Jen and the Kedroski's. I bought you some new pajamas in 6 month since you aren't quite 6 months yet thinking you would wear them for a while. When I got home and put them on you they fit perfectly. Then I realized according to the measurements on the tag your height should be in 9 month clothes! They fit a little big, but at least you can wear them for a while. It is really hard for Mommy to watch you grow up so fast, but I am so thankful for the time we have together and I treasure it! We love you baby boy!

November 1st, 2010. 18 weeks old! This onesie is 3-6 month and it is clearly too small.

You sure love your Daddy! When he gets home from work you get very happy and want to play.

You love anything soft!

Timothy's First Thanksgiving

We had planned to visit our friends the Teh's for Thanksgiving in TN, but we thought it would be too long of a drive for Timothy. Once we decided we couldn't go we weren't sure what we would do since we don't have any family nearby. Our good friends the Lopper's invited us to join them and their family in Fort Worth. We left on Wednesday and Timothy slept most of the drive. Lance's family was very welcoming and they enjoyed having a baby around. They made us feel like part of the family and we all really had a fun time!

Auntie Sam sent us Micah's baby's 1st Thanksgiving outfit for Timmy to wear and Gramma and Grandpa sent him his own cute shirt to wear too.

On Thanksgiving morning we went for a walk and it was 36 degrees. We put a ton of layers on Timmy to be sure he would be warm enough and he seemed to like it.

Happy first Thanksgiving Timothy! Mommy loves you!

Shutterfly has an awesome Christmas promotion for bloggers!

I love Shutterfly and have used them for the past six years. I found our family Christmas card for this year on Shutterfly and then saw this great deal. You can receive 50 free Christmas cards from Shutterfly just for posting a blog! I want our card to be a surprise when you get it in the mail so I'm not going to post the one I chose, but here are some of the other cards I like and that I thought about using.

I like this one because you can tell a story with special pictures and it is a fun and cheery card.

I like this card because I love color and like how each frame and letter is in a different color.

The last card I thought about using is this one because it is sweet and I thought it would be perfect to show off our sweet new baby.

Here is the link to Shutterfly's Christmas cards. http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards. Check them out they are cute and affordable!

One year I made a Calendar for our family and it was so fun to pick my favorite pictures and see them all year long. They make great gifts too! http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars

I love pictures and for my birthday I received a special gift of canvas wall art. You can pick your favorite picture and have it displayed on canvas! http://www.shutterfly.com/home-decor/canvas-wall-art

If you have never used Shutterfly you should! It's free and has so many things to offer. I use it to store all my pictures in a safe place. I just made a photo book of Timothy's birth and I'm so excited to have a book that I made myself that captures one of the best days of my life! I'm a big fan of Shutterfly and think you will be too! All Things New

There are a lot of new things in Timothy's life. Some he has learned, some he has received, and some are his "firsts".

Like sleeping on his tummy. We lay him on his back and he just rolls into this position.

He tried the exersaucer for the first time at the church nursery and loved it.

His new way of greeting his Daddy when he gets home from work. So precious!

His new hat.

Timothy has grown out of a lot of his clothes so I bought him this cute shirt. It says Mommy needs a date night!

We took him to the Domain to look at all the Christmas decorations. This is our first family photo with a Christmas tree :) We are looking forward to Timothy's first Christmas!

Timothy is 21 weeks old today! 11-22-10.

On Sunday he woke up from his nap and we saw him on the monitor doing a push up and looking right into the camera. We couldn't believe how strong he has gotten. Sunday night he didn't wake up for a feeding and slept 12 hours straight! He has done that the past three nights so I think he is done with needing a feeding during the night and now we ALL get to sleep through the night :) Now if only my body will stop waking up at 3:30!

A little bit of this and a little bit of that!

So we created this blog while I was still pregnant and my plan was to post about Timothy's birth and journal about our new family along the way, but since having him we have been a little busy :) It bothers me so that I'm just now starting to blog and Timmy is already 4 months old. There is so much I want to include but I'm going to start with Timmy's 4 month update.

He turned 4 months on October 28th. He weighs 16 pounds 13.5 ounces and he is 26.5 inches long! They measured him twice because she couldn't believe how much he has grown. He is in the 90th percentile for his height. He is going to be tall like his Daddy :) I can't believe how much Timothy has grown. Time really does fly by and it makes me sad.

He is sleeping 8-10 hours at night and wakes up for a bottle and then goes right back to sleep. We just stopped swaddling him and he loves to be free. He is rolling over both ways but likes to roll from his back to his tummy. He likes to play with his toys and puts everything in his mouth. Last week he rolled onto his tummy during a nap and slept that way for the first time. He also found his toes last week and now when you hold him he will put his arm around you :) He has the sweetest laugh. Our favorite time is in the morning when we go in to get him up. He gives us a great big smile and "talks" to us. When he gets excited, scared, or upset he kicks his legs like crazy just like me when I was little. He has such a sweet heart even at this age. If I'm feeling sad he seems to know and it bothers him. When I feed him he either holds my hand or grabs onto my shirt. We love him more than words can say and we can't imagine our life without our sweet boy. He is my sunshine and I love him and his Daddy to pieces!

Here are some of my favorite pictures over the past 5 months.

Our first family photo.

I love the expression on Josh's face! They just left the OR and they are taking him to the nursery.

Second family photo in the recovery room.

Holding my son for the first time=best feeling in the world!

One happy mama :)

Happy 4 month birthday Timothy! 10-28-10.

Timmy's first Halloween.

I'm showing a lot of restraint by not including pictures from every month but from now on I'll be up to date :) And don't worry not all of my posts will be this long!
