Oh happy day!

Today is a very happy day because after Timmy having a fever for 17 days he has now been fever free for 3 days! : ) Praise the Lord! We are still praying for complete healing over his little body. He started almost three weeks ago with a fever and a rash. The doctor said it was a virus, the rash went away after a few days but the fever never went away. It was a low grade fever that would come and go throughout the day. I thought he was just teething but once we hit the two week mark I called his doctor again. They did blood work, UA and a chest X-ray. All of the tests came back normal. I thought that was a good sign and it was, but his doctor was concerned because there wasn't a source for his fever. Then last Friday Timmy had a fever of 104.8 and was clearly sick. We went back to the doctor (third time that week) and they checked him for strep throat. It came back negative. Dr. Travis said that if his fever continues through the weekend the next step would be to go to the center of infectious disease. I was terrified. My poor son has been sick for so long and they don't know what is wrong with him. My mind kept thinking the worst. His fever got worse over the weekend not better. How can it get worse that 104.8??? It did and all we could do was pray that he would get better before Monday so that we didn't have to go to infectious disease. He woke up Monday morning without a fever but then that afternoon he had a low fever. Thankfully the doctor said to monitor him and if he had a fever of 100.4 or above to call. My mom flew in Monday night which is a total blessing to have her here during all of this! I went to the doctor Tuesday morning because my heart has been palpitating and having chest pain and I was pretty sure it was due to stress and it was. When I got back from the doctor my mom showed me a rash that developed on Timmy's torso. She thought it was Roseola and after reading about it I agreed. The doctor wants us to keep monitoring him and if the fever comes back then we will need to go to infectious disease BUT he has been fever free for three days now and I'm praying that he is on the mend. Ever since Timmy was in the hospital in February he hasn't been able to stay healthy. In the past three months he has had an upper respiratory infection, double ear infection, pneumonia, stomach flu, a virus and roseola. Poor boy can't catch a break. :( And his parents are feeling worn down too. My heart is acting up and I'm losing hair for heavens sakes. I just want my sweet boy to be 100% better and to stay healthy. Please pray for complete healing for Timmy and strength for our family. I want to thank all of our family, friends, and church who have been praying for us and checking on us! We are blessed by each one of you. Thank you!

Happy Easter!

We had a great morning at church celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. After Timmy's nap we gave him his Easter basket. My favorite part of the day was when Timmy said "Jesus is alive" and threw his arms up in the air. :)

Excited to color eggs!

You kept saying "I do it".

You had so much fun coloring the eggs and when you were done you told us they were pretty. :)

Trying to get a good picture of his Easter outfit.

We didn't have anyone to take a family picture for us so this is the good ol timer pic.

Your favorite gift was your Thomas book and the little trains and track that it came with.

Happy Easter! He is risen! He is risen indeed! Thank you Jesus for dying for me so that I can have life and be forgiven.

21 Months

You love cranberries, cookies, M&M's, chocolate, fire trucks, bikes, tractors and trains.
You call fire trucks or anything with a siren weo weo's because I read you a book and made that sound for the siren.
It melts my heart when you say "hold you mommy".
You love to give kisses especially when one of us is leaving. You are super affectionate to everyone. We had a few of Daddy's friends come visit and you would kiss them good bye. :)
You love to cuddle with your blankie.
At my ENT appointment the Doctor gave you a balloon and it popped in the car and for the longest time you would repeat "balloon pop car" over and over whenever we would get into the car.
You have an amazing memory!
One night while eating dinner our smoke alarm went off and you said "owie ears". After that any time we would put you in your high chair you would tell us about the alarm going off.
You said your first four word sentence on 3-9-12. "Where are you doggie"? You were looking out the window for our neighbors dog. You also added adorable, sea shell, and delicious to your vocabulary. :)
You like to hold hands when we pray, close your eyes and say Amen.
Your favorite show right now is Bubble Guppies and you ask us for it.
When Daddy lets you choose your jammies you pick your guitar ones.
Whenever you hear or see a dog you say "shhhh" and do the motion along with it. When I told you to tell the dog to be quiet I didn't mean you had to do it all the time. :)
Daddy's friend Matt taught you how to pound it (fist pump) and to say papa juice (beer). Our new babysitter was surprised when she introduced herself to you and you said pound it. She said I've never heard a 1.5 year old tell me to pound it before. :) BTW Rachel your new sitter is amazing!
You promoted to the Bumblebee class at church.
You saw a commercial for cookies and said "buy it"! Yes advertising to kids does work.
You wear a size 7 shoe, 2T shirts and 18-24 month pants/shorts.
We are working on cleaning up. You can sing the song but haven't yet mastered the cleaning up part. :)
You have started having tantrums. It comes with your age but we still love you any way. ;)
I had a migraine and you were concerned about me. I asked you to pray for mommy. You grabbed my hands and daddy's, bowed your head, closed your eyes, daddy prayed and you said amen then Jesus. :) We are so proud of you and it makes our heart smile that you are understanding who Jesus is.
You have memorized the book Brown Bear.
You love your wrestling time with daddy!
You have started to make car, train, tractor and plane sounds when you play them.
You said bless you when daddy sneezed. :)
You started waking up at night screaming like you are terrified. We would hold you but as soon as we put you back in your crib you would wake up and scream and cry again. We bought you a night light and tried everything we could think of. This went on for over two weeks and most nights you would end up in our bed. After none of us getting much sleep for weeks we prayed and prayed and finally you went back to going to bed and staying asleep like normal. It was a difficult few weeks and we are all glad that is over!
Grandpa Murphy came to visit us and you had a blast with him!

We were on a walk and you walked right into the sprinklers. It was so cold it took your breath away. You didn't try doing that again. :)

Looking out the window

Watching Bubble Guppies

I love your adorable face!

Practicing using a fork

If we pass a Starbucks you say "coffee cake pop". It is our special treat for me to get a coffee and you get a cake pop. :)

Wearing your Ireland shirt from Auntie Murphy on St. Patrick's day.

I was making dinner and thought you were playing until I turned around and found you sitting on our entertainment center.

We got to have a nice dinner with Aunt Leslie when she was driving through. She showed you her big rig and you loved it! It was so nice to see you Aunt Leslie! We love you!!!

Happy 21 months! You are becoming more independent and more and more like a big boy. As long as I'm living my baby you'll be! I love you Timmy!
