7 months old!

Timothy turned 7 months old on Friday January 28th. Each month I am amazed that he is "that" old. I know that probably sounds so dumb, but to me he is still my little baby. When I say he is 7 months old it doesn't sound so little anymore :( I can't believe how fast he is growing up. I wish I could keep him little forever. We decided that Timothy's monthly updates are going to be a letter to Timothy. So that explains why we are talking to him in the updates :)

You started your seventh month in California. We got to go the beach for the first time as a family. You loved watching the waves just like mommy does :) When we got back from CA we had your six month check up. You weighed in at 20 lbs. and 29 inches long. You have almost out grown your 9 month pajamas and clothes. You fit best in 12 month clothing. You have grown so much that we had to buy you a new big boy carseat because your infant seat only went up to 29 inches.

That means you are no longer in an infant seat and we can't use the snap n go stroller anymore. At first you didn't seem to like your new carseat because it doesn't recline as much as your other seat and that made it harder for you to go to sleep, but after a few days you now love it! You look out the window and talk to whatever you see passing by. Since we can't use the snap n go stroller we are now using your bigger stroller.

We bought you a shopping cart/high chair cover for Christmas and it's awesome.

You now sit in the shopping cart like a big boy! You love the cover because it is soft and it has toys attached to it. When we go shopping I bring your blanket because sometimes you get tired and will lay to one side. One Sunday after church we went to lunch with some friends and you covered your face with your blanket and fell asleep in the high chair.

You have become attached to your blanket. We first gave it to you for comfort in California since we were always moving around and now we make sure we always have your blanket. You are such a great sleeper! You got to bed at 7pm and wake up around 7am. Sometimes you wake up and play quietly in your crib. You always smile and get so happy when mommy or daddy come get you up. You take three naps a day at 9am, 12pm, and 3pm. Usually your naps don't last more than hour and sometimes they are only thirty minutes. When you get sleepy you look for something soft to put your cheek against and it's so cute.

You get solid food for breakfast and dinner and still get bottles during the day. We started giving you fruit and vegetables and you eat everything so well!

You have learned how to sit up but we still put a pillow behind you because sometimes you topple over.

You roll all over the place to get where you want to go and I think you will be crawling soon. Now that you can sit up you get your baths in the sink and you love it! You try to drink the water.

You said Ma the other day and it made me so happy :) I was really working with you to say mama and you said ma. At first I thought it was wishful thinking that you actually said ma, but when daddy got home that night you said it again. It was precious to hear you say ma and I can't wait to hear mama!

All I have ever wanted was to be a wife and a mother, and you and your father have made all of my dreams come true! You and your daddy are a gift from God! You fill my heart with more joy and love than I have ever felt before. You are my precious son and I will love you forever and always.

All my love,
Your Mommy

Girls Weekend

My wonderful friends Rayna and Sadie flew in for a girls weekend. We all grew up together at Foxworthy Baptist Church and then as we got older we all moved away. With Rayna living in Michigan, Sadie living in Nashville, and me living in Austin we don't ever get to see each other so Rayna had a great idea of a girls weekend. They were so sweet to come to me in Austin! We had so much fun just catching up and it was just like old times. I am so thankful that the Lord provided me with a wonderful church growing up and for the life long friendships that He has blessed me with.

We went Downtown to walk around and have lunch.

Random San Jose Hotel. That's the city where we all met :)

Fun lunch at Wahoo Fish Tacos

I love these girls!

So fun to have them meet Timothy!

6 months old!

Timothy turned 6 months old on December 28th. I'm really late in writing this update because we were in CA, then Timothy was sick, and then we had company.

A few days before you turned six months we gave you solid food for the first time. It was on Christmas morning and you had rice cereal. You loved it! Most of this month you still just had six ounces of formula and cereal once a day. You still sleep twelve hours at night, but when we were in CA you had a hard time adjusting to the time difference. We stayed in four different homes so you got really good at sleeping anywhere in your pack n play. You fit best in size 9 month clothes. Your Grandma Connie bought you a cute outfit for Christmas in size 12 months and it is a little big on you, but won't be for long. You are learning to sit up on your own and how to eat solid food. You learned how to give kisses and they are so sweet! You learned how to suck on your toes and you always have something in your mouth. When you are playing on the floor you lift your arms and legs and kick like crazy. You can push up on your arms and you are getting stronger every day. You had a busy month. You flew to CA with mommy. You had Motrin for the first time, stayed in the church nursery for the first time at Grandma & Grandpa Murphy's church, and you had your first Christmas. Your sixth month doctor appointment was late since we were in CA, but everything went well. You weigh 20 pounds and you are 29 inches long. You are in the 95th percentile for your height and in the 85th percentile for your weight. You are still a sweetheart! Your smile melts our heart and we love you so very much! Here are some pictures from your sixth month.

This was one of your last baths in this tub because you have out grown it.

You can hold your own bottle, but you are still learning how to tilt it up.

Your new friend, Asher, was born and we went to the hospital to meet him.

Having fun on Auntie Karla and Uncle Shannon's bed.
